“Grace and peace to you all, people around the world and the God’s Heart TV Team. My name is Tankiso from South Africa. It is with great joy that I share this testimony and hope it will encourage people with similar situations I had. My husband and I got married in 2001 but it was not until 2013 that we had our wedding celebration. Since then, we both lost affection towards each other and were thinking of quitting the relationship. But we tolerated each other because we already had two kids. The situation was so dire in the sense that I wouldn’t even want to be around him. Sometimes, I would feel like he was smelling bad. We shouted and fought like cats and dogs. As the breadwinner, I felt like I really didn’t need him and could just take care of my kids on my own. This was the situation until recently where I found myself unemployed – and we both had to stay at home and face each other every day.
“I discovered God’s Heart TV on YouTube and started sending multiple prayer requests. I didn’t mention any of our marital problems because I thought that we were never meant for each other. In April 2024, I sent another prayer request to God’s Heart TV asking to be prayed for because I was looking for a job, and I received a message that Brother Chris wanted to speak to me on the phone. He asked me where my husband was and what he was doing. After he prayed for me, he gave me an appointment the following week to pray for both of us. He gave us words of advice for our marriage. During that call, we had several connectivity disruptions – but he kept on calling until he finished praying for us. Later that night, we both felt peace. The ‘cat-fights’ we had started to diminish day-by-day. Now, we both appreciate each other! I now see him as my king, the person that I wouldn’t live without and the father of my children.
“Even though what I requested hasn’t been fulfilled yet, I realised that God wanted to reconcile us first and the rest will follow – as Matthew 6:33 states. I want to encourage married couples that God does nothing without His Word. Marriage is a union from God – and blessings come from the union, not from pursuing our selfish desires. If you find yourselves having constant quarrels, just recognise it’s an attack from the devil trying to break your unity. We must seek God’s intervention and obey His commandments. I encourage everyone to read Ephesians 4 and Ephesians 5:21-23. I believe and know that this is just the beginning. The best is yet to come! I would truly like to thank Brother Chris and the entire God’s Heart TV Team for availing themselves to pray and give support to children of God worldwide.”
