“Grace and peace to you in the mighty name of our Lord! My name is Nelson from the UK, a volunteer in the ministry. I would like to share what the Lord has done for me and my family through this ministry and through His servant, Brother Chris. I have been in my current role for almost five years. Although I knew it was time for me to grow, learn new skills, and step into my potential, I had become comfortable with my day-to-day routine. The fear of the unknown and the security of a good income kept me where I was.
Everything changed after the special live Prayer Service for the New Year 2026. During the service, Brother Chris raised a prayer point. The specific reference to ‘mediocrity’ felt like it was directed at me. Deep down, I knew there were higher levels to reach, but I had settled into mediocrity. That prayer struck a chord in my heart, especially as I had already been contemplating applying for a new role within the organisation. I even spoke to colleagues about it. Although they encouraged me to apply, they often added, ‘Don’t be disappointed if you don’t get it.’ This planted a bit of doubt, but I understood that they were speaking from a human perspective. Still, I decided to push forward. Between Boxing Day and the first week of January, I completed two professional certifications so that the hiring manager would take my application seriously. All of this happened within a short period at the end of December and early January.
The role is a good step up from my current role, and the hiring process was initially scheduled for January/February but was delayed until early March. After the first round of applications closed, the role was reopened because they could not find applicants who matched my profile. This delay created frustration, and I began expressing this frustration to colleagues again – until I watched a clip on YouTube from one of Brother Chris’ sermons about how we often tell the wrong people about our problems, titled: There Must Be Discernment Before Disclosure. That message convicted me that although my colleagues were not ill-intentioned, I needed to stop expressing my frustrations and refocus on preparing for the possible interview, fulfilling my current responsibilities, and holding on to the belief I had when I first received the Prayer Service for 2026.
Then, as God would have it, the business urgently needed someone to carry out tasks related to the very role I was hoping to apply for. I was asked to step in twice. Although I only had a relative understanding of the work, the Lord gave me wisdom and understanding, and I delivered both tasks quickly and effectively. The hiring manager was impressed, and immediately after the second task, I was given an interview date. Again, the Lord granted me understanding in my preparation. I performed well during the interview and was offered the role within two hours. I am truly grateful to God because He made all of this possible. I also want to thank Brother Chris for making himself an instrument in the Lord’s hands, and the ministry team for all the wonderful work they do. Glory be to God!”
