“My name is Emmanuel from Zambia. In June 2021, I dropped out of medical school during my second year of studying Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) due to financial constraints. I was heartbroken because I watched my dream career slipping away without any hope or help from anywhere. I remember going through depression and feeling like giving up on God because I felt like my prayers had not been answered.

Months went by and I was out of school from June to August 2021. During this same period, I was searching for alternatives and a career path closer to medicine. By God’s grace, I received a fully funded scholarship to study for a bachelor’s degree in cardiology in India. I was grateful to God, even though I was still mourning inside, and I kept believing and prayed that someday or somehow I would be able to go back and complete my MBBS career. I did not get distracted; I kept working hard and ensured I achieved excellent grades in cardiology. By God’s grace, I graduated with a cumulative grade point average of 8.13 and a distinction in 2025.

In 2024, while studying in the field of cardiology, I tried to apply for a scholarship to complete my MBBS in Russia. I was very doubtful at the beginning because of how competitive it is, especially in the medical field, and I had already been left out in 2023. I actually left everything in God’s hands, and I prayed that God would determine my future Himself.

Around February 2025, the results were published and I was a winner of the scholarship. Brethren, I was happy and filled with joy! I had never thought I would make it, but all I can say is that this was God working and paving the way for me. In that same year, 2025, I graduated from cardiology with a distinction and a cumulative grade point average of 8.13/10, and travelled back to my native country, Zambia.

While preparing for my journey to Russia, I was met with many financial difficulties. All this while, my elder brother, who is also a student, had been helping me with travelling expenses, but this time around he was not able to because he had exams and an outstanding balance at school. I was scheduled to travel for school in November 2025, so I had only September and October to look for finances.

I relocated from Kabwe to Lusaka to start applying for the visa. Brethren, I did not know how I would pay for the visa, but miraculously I met a selfless woman who became like family and a mother to me. She went many miles to provide food for me while I was living with my friends, and together with my big sister, I got the visa. However, I still had no money to afford a flight ticket. I visited all the youth government offices; some gave me false hope, some did not even seem concerned, and all hope was lost. But still, within me, I kept praying for a miracle together with my friend and brother. Each day that passed by, I made confessions; I spent sleepless nights thinking and praying.

In December 2025, my school sent me an email requesting me to report for studies before the Christmas holiday or after the holiday. I opted for a later date because I did not have money for the air ticket. Around the Christmas week, I received an email stating that I had received extra funding from the Government of Russia that would cover all expenses, including flight fares. I read this email and thought at first it was just a scam or a wrongly sent email, so I ignored it.

The following day, I asked my university about it and they confirmed it was an authentic email, and that they had started preparing documents for me to register on the grants website. I did not know what to feel or say to God; instead, I just shed tears and gave thanks to God.

Beloved, I had only 20 days left before my 90-day visa expired, so I contacted my university for advice. They told me that if I was not at school by January 31, 2026, my entire scholarship would be cancelled, and I could not wait for the government to buy my flight tickets because the whole process is long. I was devastated and felt like the devil was fighting me, but I remember saying to the devil, ‘The more you fight me, the greater my testimony.’

Around Christmas, I sent a message explaining my situation to Brother Chris and God’s Heart TV. On January 3, 2026, I was invited to join the Interactive Prayer Service with Brother Chris. I joined the prayers and believed that God would do something. With the testimonies from my fellow believers, I was encouraged to keep fighting.

Two weeks after the prayers, with the help of my family and friends I was able to buy a ticket and travelled during the last week of January, before the 31st. Brethren, I still cannot explain how it happened, but God did it.

When I arrived in Russia, settling in was not easy either. The registration and the entire migration process required money, but God, through my friends, made a way. Now I am settling in well, and I believe the God who brought me here will sustain me throughout my entire stay. To Him who is worthy be all the glory!”
