“Grace and peace to you, children of God. I greet you all at God’s Heart TV. My name is Yamkela from South Africa. I would like to take this opportunity and return all the glory to God in Jesus’ mighty name. For many years, I had been struggling to break free from an addiction to pornography and masturbation. This all started when I was young. I was molested by one of my older female cousins What she did to me led me to this addiction. So, I struggled with this for many years. I tried all sorts of things as a child of God to stop but with no victory. I fasted and prayed. I even tried to put some apps in my phone which would block me immediately when I went to those websites – but still all that failed. I could not stop the desire.
“But glory to God, when all our efforts and ways come to an end, God starts to prove who He is to us. I came across a video of God’s Heart TV on YouTube and I decided to send a prayer request – but this prayer request was not specifically regarding this issue. The request was for something else. Yes, of course, I also wanted God to touch this problem as well, but I was more focused on another problem that was at hand. Children of God, I was invited to join an Interactive Prayer Service on November 2, 2024. After the service, I continued with my life, trusting that the Lord has touched the other problem that I was specifically sending the prayer request for.
“Children of God, my eyes were completely taken away from this addiction of many years – but one day, I just realised that the desire was completely gone! As I’m writing this testimony to you, it has been nine months that I have not been even thinking about it. Glory to God! My brothers and sisters, God did not touch the area I was requesting prayer for, but He knew what was more important than what I was praying for. He knew the real cause of the problem I was sending a prayer request about. God has used this time to build my character, to draw me closer to Him more than ever before. He has used this time to reveal to me the most important areas I had been neglecting in my relationship with Him and my family. Children of God, I give all the glory to God in Jesus’ name. I truly thank Jesus for the life of His servant, Brother Chris, and the God’s Heart TV Team for saying yes to Jesus.
“My word of encouragement to all who are still waiting for a specific answer on a prayer request – God is faithful and merciful. Look around your life and you will notice that He is busy shifting things to order. But we can be blind to notice this because our eyes are so focused on one angle. He knows what should come first; He is busy realigning things! Don’t lose hope. Please don’t! Trust me – you are not abandoned, but rather you are being built for something better than what you are requesting. Trust the Master Planner, Jesus Christ!”
