“My name is Mulumbi from Mufulira, Zambia. I greet you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I want to share how God helped me overcome the strong desire for alcohol. For the past few years, I had been struggling with quitting drinking. Even though I knew this was not good for me, I felt like I couldn’t help myself but drink – because I used to feel the ‘thirst’ for alcohol. However, something changed when I watched a teaching by Brother Chris called, ‘You Are Free To Follow Jesus’. As I listened, I felt like God was talking to me directly and in that instant, I felt a shift within me. The specific Scripture that impacted my life is Numbers 11:4. The way Brother Chris explained it has delivered me from the urge to drink. I no longer feel thirsty! That urge is completely gone. Moreover, that same day, I had a dream where I saw my friends asking me to buy alcohol but I was able to remember the words of Brother Chris and didn’t succumb to the temptation. I just want to thank God that I can now follow Him – free from this. Hallelujah!”
