“Grace and peace to you God’s Heart TV and Brother Chris. My name is Maka from Zambia, and I am here to share a wonderful testimony of my job breakthrough. I had been looking for a job since 2024 after graduating. I kept applying to no avail; in most instances, I would only get unpaid internships. I remembered God’s Heart TV and kept sending my prayer requests frequently. Sometime last year, in March 2025, I was picked for interviews at one of the biggest beverage companies in Zambia. I passed and moved on to the next stage in April 2025 after assessments. It was quite crucial because it is not easy to enter such a large company. I passed my assessments and waited for confirmation and the signing of the offer letter. At each stage of the process, I sent my prayer request to God’s Heart TV; I then attended the Interactive Prayer Service. I kept waiting for my reporting day, but depression and negative thoughts were hunting me. After making a follow-up, I was told to report for work in June 2025. This was after my friend, with whom I had suffered, reported in May 2025. I kept waiting for June while applying to other companies.
In June 2025, recruitment issues arose and I could not start the job. I kept sending prayer requests to God’s Heart TV, believing that God would answer me and that I would report for work one day. In August 2025, I had an opportunity to work for a road construction company, though not in the position for which I studied; I was a general worker in the same department. I started working, but my heart was still upset. I could not find peace and worked every day without rest.
I continued following up and praying with God’s Heart TV, and another opportunity appeared in a small mine a few kilometres away. I reported and worked for two to three months. I was still unsatisfied and depressed, but the work was less stressful, so I eventually coped. However, in December 2025, I was laid off. They claimed my salary was too high and they could no longer afford to pay me as they were not receiving gold samples anymore. I left the company upset and depressed.
Early this year, interviews appeared in my home town. I attended but was not selected. I returned to the capital where I kept applying and following up with almost all companies in Lusaka. What kept me going was that I had received contact numbers for several HR managers. On March 2026, I followed up with the beverage company I had applied to last year. On April 1, 2026, I was called by the grace of God to see the HR manager. He requested an interview on April 22, 2026, which I attended and passed.
I feared what happened last year might happen again, but to my shock, yesterday I signed my offer letter. For the first time in my life, I am being paid such an amount of money. I am happy that finally, my constant prayer requests to join this beverage company have come to pass. It was not easy; it took God’s grace. As we speak, four other companies have expressed interest in me working for them. Yes, four other doors are open, and I am even giving some of these opportunities to friends because I am now where I wanted to be.
