“Greetings to you, brethren. My name is Matildah from Zambia. In 2010, I had a severe backache. It was in the afternoon when I came back from bathing. This backache started when I wanted to apply lotion to my body; I wanted to reach my hand to where the lotion was. Unfortunately, I just heard a funny sound in my waist and felt a sensation like lightning. Before a minute had passed, I heard myself screaming at the top of my voice. Suddenly, I saw that my auntie was the one holding me to support me, because the pain that had started was too much for me to get up. From that day, the pain never stopped, and I used to go to school with that kind of pain. For me to concentrate in class was a big challenge, so what worked for me was sitting at the back so that my back could lean against the wall in order to be supported in an upright position. My fellow pupils and teachers came to know about this, so they used to leave a desk at the back for me. Sometimes I used to miss classes due to the severe pain. I also failed to lift heavy things; sometimes, even lifting smaller things, depending on the weight, was a challenge. This started affecting me negatively – academically, spiritually, and socially – which forced me to start seeking solutions. I tried hospitals, and different types of medication were prescribed, but to no avail. However, I managed to finish my secondary school by God’s grace, started nursing school, and graduated, but the pain was still there.
In 2017, I started work, and the pain became more severe, such that sometimes I failed to wake up early in the morning. By then, I was the only nurse at the facility in a rural setup, so most of the time I had to work alone, which was very challenging on my part and for my patients. However, in 2019, I was transferred to another facility where there was a small number of staff. Still, my backache grew worse, and I developed a neck ache which was excruciating. Due to so much pain, I continued looking for solutions, such as laboratory tests, physiotherapy, and medication, but the pain didn’t go away.
The pain became more and more severe, such that I ended up going to a witch doctor who tattooed my whole body with more than 100 tattoos in order to stop the pain. That process was too long and painful to endure. However, I managed, and I was given another procedure in which I was told to inhale smoke. It was so hot that I almost suffocated. That procedure was finished, and I was given instructions not to bathe the following morning. I followed that, and after some days, I felt light and the pain disappeared. I was so happy, thinking it had gone for good. After some time, I started feeling excruciating pain, a fear of the unknown, low self-esteem, a feeling of being followed by someone, and nightmares (seeing snakes, sleeping with people, and other sorts of bad things). I started doubting my abilities, and that began affecting my career and my personality. During my night shifts, I started experiencing bad things, such as being followed, and my work performance dropped from good to bad.
It was on Facebook that I came across God’s Heart TV. After reading a testimony that was posted, it encouraged me to send a prayer request. On April 4, 2026, I joined an Interactive Prayer Service with Brother Chris on Zoom. Then, Brother Chris started preaching. Just right there and then, I started shaking and barking uncontrollably. He prayed for us and told us to touch where we were feeling pain. As I touched my neck and back, I felt a strange sensation. It was like I had been given a general anaesthetic drug; I also felt like it was a supernatural body massage. It was just something I cannot explain using human understanding.
From after the prayer up to now, a lot of things have changed in my life. There is no pain, I sleep like a baby, there are no nightmares, and I can see changes in my finances. I have started my business, I have great visions, and I am no longer feeling inferior. I am reading God’s Word and understanding it, and I know God is still doing a lot of good things in my life. I would like to encourage everyone who is going through hardship – be it a disease, a health condition, or any other situation – that God doesn’t fail. His healing is permanent; He only has genuine intentions, and His purpose is to safeguard us and our souls. Indeed, He is a faithful God. Thank You, Jesus Christ, Brother Chris, and the God’s Heart TV team! I am healed, I do house chores, I can lift heavy things, and I am able to wake up early in the morning without difficulties.
