God’s Heart TV was privileged to embark on a special charity outreach project to Siloé in Cali, Colombia – an area known for high levels of deprivation, gang violence, and unemployment. Driven by one compelling force – the need to help those in need – God’s Heart TV prepared school stationery packages and food parcels to support 110 children and their families. These children often attend school with an empty stomach, lacking the necessary equipment to learn effectively, thus hampering their life chances in these vital formative years. The supplies included staple foods such as rice, lentils, beans, spaghetti, sugar, salt, coffee, milk, crackers, oil, fruits, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, onions, lemons, and hygiene products. The stationery packages provided each child with pencils, sharpeners, crayons, marker pens, rulers, glue, and notebooks. A meal was provided to those who attended and Brother Chris gave a word of encouragement to the families before the distribution of the gifts to speak strength and courage to them in the midst of their situation. Just as the gifts were received with an attitude of gratitude, we continue to thank God for the privilege to be in a position to give! As Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35).
