“Grace and peace to you all in the wonderful Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! My name is Toney and I am from Kenya. I thank Jesus Christ for breaking down the generational curses that have caged me for so long in my family.
Having read through several encouraging testimonies from God’s Heart TV, I stepped out in faith and sent several prayer requests to God’s Heart TV, asking for freedom from generational curses and career stagnation, among other things. On February 5, 2026, I received an email inviting me to join the Interactive Prayer Service on February 7, 2026.
Due to internet issues and a poor mobile phone device, a friend of mine – who is a translator for God’s Heart TV – invited me to his house so I could join using his laptop. During the service, Brother Chris said, ‘What is happening in your home? Is there a generational curse? By the authority in the name of Jesus, be broken in Jesus’ Name! That curse afflicting your family with sickness, stagnation, limitation – be broken by the blood of Jesus!’ Suddenly, I felt a shock inside me and had a slight cough. I believed that something had happened. At that time, I had a plan to construct a small house in my home village, but looking back at my family history, there had always been great setbacks whenever anyone tried to build even a small structure, like a poultry farm. This had been a generational curse, but immediately after the prayers, I found that the fear was gone. I went home and completed the construction smoothly, without any struggle, on March 27, 2026 and March 28, 2026 during my work leave. Thank You, Jesus!
Secondly, after completing my secondary education in 2018, I could not proceed due to a lack of finances. My dedication and focus pushed me to search for scholarships and sponsorships, but it was all in vain. However, I did not give up. Last year, after listening to Brother Chris’s sermon, ‘Don’t Waste Your Wait’, God put it in my heart to proceed with my education. I started looking for scholarships and sponsorships again while also researching my career field. Fortunately, I found a college, made an enquiry, and was given a fee structure; then I left everything in God’s hands.
On April 5, 2026, by God’s grace, I was fortunate to be part of the team coordinating the God’s Heart TV Easter Charity Project in Kenya. I was very happy because I knew it was a divine connection. Before we started the mission, we received a call from God’s Heart TV informing us that Brother Chris wanted to encourage and pray for us over the phone. I was extremely happy. During his message of encouragement, he told us, “I know some of you might be asking yourselves, ‘I am doing this charity project, but what about my own situation?’ Don’t worry, Jesus is aware.” Those thoughts were exactly what had been on my mind. During the short prayer with Brother Chris, I experienced a deep cough, and I knew something had happened in the spirit. We finished the call and went out on the mission.
Since then, the conviction to go back to school grew deeper and deeper. I was fully convinced that this was the right time for Jesus to execute His plan for me and when He leads, He guides, and where He guides, He opens ways. I then took a bold step and applied for a Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Kenya Institute of Development Studies Technical College, and everything went successfully in Jesus’ name.
In my workplace as a cleaner, I received several cleaning contracts from different offices, and I praised Jesus because I saw His miracle-working hand. Since God’s ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8–9), while I saw the school fees coming from my salary, God provided them through a sponsor. Near my workplace, someone met me and asked how far I had progressed regarding my education. I opened up and told him, and he scheduled a day for me to meet him in his office.
On July 9, 2026, at 12 noon, I met him in his office and showed him the fee structure. By God’s grace, he decided to cover the fees for Term 1, told me to look for Term 2, and then return to him for Term 3. I believe the same Jesus who made this happen will guide me through my entire studies, and I will live to testify to His loving kindness! Thank You, Jesus, for using Brother Chris and all the people around me on this journey.”
