“Grace and peace to you all. I am Anita from Botswana and I have a testimony to share. For the past five years, I had been experiencing stagnation in my life. I would apply for jobs, training programs and just anything that I believed would uplift my life. However, I never received any feedback regarding my applications – not even a ‘regret mail’. Nonetheless, I continued to apply and still got the same silence regarding my applications. In January 2024, I learned of God’s Heart TV and the Interactive Prayer Services held on the first Saturday of every month. I submitted my prayer request and waited patiently to be part of the next service. Meanwhile, I applied for the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Botswana Youth Leadership Training Programme (a German organisation) on 30th January 2024.
“On 3rd February 2024, I took part in the Interactive Prayer Service. Physically, I didn’t experience anything during the prayer but little did I know that God was at work! One week after the Interactive Prayer, for the first time in my life – at the age of 29 – I was invited to an interview. The interview went well and the panellists were so amazed at how much I was smiling and how happy I was compared to the previous interviewees. I should note that I am a journalist by profession. However, my work was stagnant and I kept ‘degrading’. Even financially, my pay had been downsized. To get the job of a journalist, after studying, I never went through an interview. They were just impressed at how I wrote and my work ethic and for eight years, I have been working as a journalist.
“On 21st February, I received an email from Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Botswana letting me know that I was accepted in their organisation to undergo a leadership training program for nine months! When I read the email, tears rolled down my cheeks because I knew that God was at hand and that I had been freed from the spirit of stagnation. To me, this is a building block toward greatness and a sign that the best is yet to come. My advice, particularly to the youth is please, do not give up on God! Work as if it all depends on you and pray as if it all depends on God. The is no impossible situation with God – if you can only believe. Thank You, God, for this blessing!”
