“Grace and peace to you all in Jesus’ name. My name is Mulenga from Zambia. I am here to testify to the goodness of the Almighty God. Having gone through the excruciating pain that comes with poverty, joblessness, marriage unsettlement, limitations, stagnation, near success syndrome, you name it – the good Lord remembered me with a permanent job in the Ministry of Education and marriage settlement. Isn’t God worthy of all our praises!

“For so many years, my family and I suffered everything that comes with poverty – the shame, the embarrassment, the humiliation, the name-calling. We could not make ends meet. In the quest for employment to suppress poverty, there’s no office I didn’t enter looking for a job, but to no avail. They either slapped hurtful words to my face or proposed sexual affairs to see what they could do for me. We could sleep on empty stomachs. I had been engaged for six good years, but marriage seemed practically impossible. When I got into college, sponsors withdrew in my second year, saying they couldn’t go through. I almost dropped out, but God said no… I sorrowfully carried on. We have been a sorry sight for years.

“This came with temptations – offers to visit native doctors, the verge of losing the way. The gravity of emotions this brought can never be overemphasized. I started attending Interactive Prayer Services in December 2022, and I remember the first one was a battle; there were technical faults, and we were unable to connect. But my sister and I never gave up on God. We kept on sending requests, kept on pressing, and putting a demand on God. And behold, God stepped in. Things gradually started changing for my good and my family’s good. Until this year, two months ago, God in His infinite mercy blessed me with two too-good-to-be-true answered prayers: I got employed by the government, and the six-year-old engagement resulted in marriage. Like Prophet T.B. Joshua used to say, “Your dark moments may be to make you see and appreciate the light.” This is me appreciating the light!

“My advice to people out there is this: keep the faith, the patience, and the hope. God is not a man that He should lie. He is true to His promises. Great is His faithfulness! Even in the worst situations, He is there. Through it, He is building character. Thank You, Jesus. Thank you, Brother Chris, for allowing God to use you.”
