“Greetings, family of God. Wow, God’s time is the best! I’m Doris from Lusaka, Zambia. I had been working as a porter at the Cancer Diseases Hospital for 10 years. In 2019, I applied to the University of Zambia to study Social Work with two colleagues from the same hospital. We completed our three-year programme in 2021, but we didn’t graduate until 2023 because we owed the university money. In 2022, I was given a letter of administrative appointment to work in the Accounts Department at the Cancer Hospital, where I’m still working today.
“Since 2021, my friends and I have been applying to different ministries, NGOs, and our own hospital for a promotion, but it never came. In 2023, one of my friends was promoted to a local clinic, leaving the two of us waiting for a promotion at the hospital. In 2024, I came across God’s Heart TV on YouTube and sent a prayer request about deliverance from the spirit of stagnation. I was invited to join the online prayer with Brother Chris. During the prayers, I didn’t experience anything, but afterwards, I felt as if a heavy load had left my body. Before, I used to feel like I was carrying someone on my back, and the heaviness wouldn’t allow me to move forward in life.
“Some months passed, and I sent another prayer request, this time for a promotion. I was invited and attended the online interactive prayers. I didn’t manifest during the prayer, but I started having dreams of promotions and transfers at my workplace. That was last year, in 2024. Children of God, my dreams from 2024 started coming true this year, 2025. At my hospital, my friend who I went to university with was the first to be promoted to work as a social worker. About three colleagues were promoted, and others were transferred. I sat down, confused. ‘God,’ I said, ‘where is my own promotion? All my friends have been promoted. What is happening to me? Am I living for God?’
“Children of God, August has been my month. I was called to submit my documents for a social work position, but HR said, ‘You don’t qualify. We want someone with a degree.’ I said, ‘It is well. I know that my God will find me one day, even with my diploma.’ On August 14th, I was called again to the registry department to collect my appointment letter as a Revenue Officer. I thank God for giving me strength all this time. What I can say to people around the world is that delay is not denial. When I thought that God had forgotten me, He was busy promoting people to create room for me. God works in a way we cannot understand. God bless you all at God’s Heart TV for your prayers. Amen!”
