“Greetings in Jesus’ mighty Name. I am Dorothy from the UK. I thank God Almighty for this opportunity to glorify His Name through Brother Chris’ ministry. I really wanted to change jobs as everyone at work was moving to Northern Ireland. Initially, I told myself I would seek God’s mind before making a decision through praying and fasting. However, God seemed to be taking too long to answer. My friend whom I worked with had already got a job and encouraged me to apply but I declined. She said to me, ‘Why don’t you be like Jonah who went his way and when he was in trouble God intervened; surely God will straighten your path again.’ I still couldn’t do so, and kept praying. At one point, I was angry with God, crying out to Him that He is favouring others and ignoring me. I was surprised that day when I opened my Bible to set my eyes on Romans 2:11 which says, ‘For God does not show favouritism.’ I was surprised to hear God speaking to me; I then sent in my prayer request to God’s Heart TV, explaining my predicament, how I was about to just go without hearing from God. I wrote about my experiences, financial struggles and mainly how much taking this decision would affect my daughter who had already got a place for sixth form.
“God’s Heart TV reached out to me through WhatsApp three times to encourage me but I was away on holiday in Zimbabwe and the network was poor. However, they didn’t give up. On July 30, I managed to speak to Brother Chris when I came back to the UK and he said I should not follow what others were doing because each one has their destinies. Moreover, he encouraged me to think about my daughter who is at a critical stage in her life. He prayed for us at that moment and told us to wait for God. I waited a few days and the thought came again of leaving without hearing from God. My daughter kept reminding me of Brother Chris’ message. On August 18, I got a message from an organisation here in the UK where I had worked part-time a year ago asking me if I am interested in joining them. I had not applied for this job; I was surprised, and I jumped to this opportunity. My friends can’t believe the offer! By God’s grace, I am getting a better rate, I work four days a week and I am off every weekend. One of my prayer requests was that I wanted a job that allows me to be able to join online services at the weekend, including the Interactive Prayer Service. God gave me a package which my colleagues are surprised about. It is just God! No one else can do that. My daughter shared this joy and I am glad to share this testimony.”
