“My name is Edward from Lusaka, Zambia. In 2023, I was working as an Accounts Clerk in the hospitality industry while studying Financial Management. The job was very demanding, with long hours and high stress, and it offered almost no time for my studies. I remember asking for weekend and holiday exemptions to attend classes, but it was not possible. I had to choose between keeping the job or graduating. It was one of the hardest decisions of my life. I resigned to complete my studies. That season was tough as I faced financial pressure, deep stress, excessive drinking, isolation, and even suicidal thoughts at times. My grandparents stood by me, encouraged me, and helped me keep my dream alive. To cover what they could not, I took a part-time plumbing job in the construction industry. It was hard work, but it helped in meeting tuition fees and basic needs, alongside help from my family. By God’s grace, I graduated on November 12, 2025.
Early this year, I started joining God’s Heart TV live Interactive Prayer Services on YouTube with Brother Chris. I prayed along and sent my prayer request for employment after the Interactive Prayer Service and after reading other people’s testimonies. In the third week of January 20, 2026, as I was fasting, God opened the door. I received a job offer as an Assistant Accountant at a law firm; the salary is double what I earned before. The timing was perfect – something only God could do. I am also free from the negative thoughts and drinking. I thank the Lord for His mercy, His kindness, and the grace to maintain and grow what He has given me. All glory to God!”
