“Grace and Peace to you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. My name is Risco from Cameroon, and I return all glory to God for what He has done in my life through His mercy and divine favour. I began working as a part-time teacher in 2019, immediately after obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree. From 2019 to 2023, my life was characterised by severe hardship, disappointment, rejection, and stagnation. Despite my efforts and qualifications, there was truly nothing to write home about. During this painful season, I was also tormented by the spiritual wife, which brought deep distress and spiritual oppression into my life.
Eventually, I became tired of my situation and desperate for a solution. In my search for divine intervention, I met a pastor friend who ushered me into a fasting programme. During the course of the fast, I repeatedly heard the name ‘Heart of God’ in my spirit. At first, I had no idea what it meant, but the voice became so persistent that I had no choice but to inform my pastor friend.
When I shared this with him, he immediately told me that ‘Heart of God’ was similar to the name of Brother Chris’ ministry, God’s Heart TV, the same Brother Chris who once ministered at SCOAN, and that he regularly prays for people online. Out of curiosity and faith, I searched for his prayers on YouTube. I found several prayer videos, downloaded some of them, and began praying with them consistently every morning and every evening.
After a few weeks of praying with these videos, I was completely delivered from the spiritual wife that had tormented me for a long time. Not long afterward, I had a dream in which I attended a job interview. A few days later, a friend of my mother sent a job advertisement and asked my mother to encourage me to apply. I did so, and within 48 hours, I was interviewed and offered the job. This became my first permanent job, with a good salary and excellent working conditions. From that moment, my life began to experience a divine turnaround.
Fast forward to 2026, I remained consistent in prayer, joining the God’s Heart TV Interactive Prayer Services on YouTube and Zoom. On March 28, 2026, I received a phone call from my mother informing me of a French teaching opportunity in the United States. Remarkably, she had been contacted by a colleague who was not in her department and with whom she was not even close. That colleague had been reached by his former colleague who now teaches in the United States, explaining that there was a need for a French teacher. Remembering that my mother once mentioned she had a son who was a teacher, he contacted her and asked if I could teach French.
My mother agreed, and I was put in contact with the recruiter in the United States. I submitted my application and résumé, went through two interview sessions, and I was described as ‘a very good and experienced teacher.’ I was subsequently recruited and issued an offer letter.
When the time came for my US visa interview, fear filled my heart, because obtaining a US visa in my country is extremely difficult. However, throughout the interview, I kept praying silently in my heart, ‘Son of David, have mercy on me. Let Your mercy speak for me. Let Your divine favour locate me.’
To the glory of God, my visa was approved. To further confirm that this was purely the favour of God, I attended the same visa interview with a lady who was also recruited to teach at the same school – she for Mathematics and I for French. We were asked the same questions and gave the same answers, yet her visa was denied, while mine was approved.
I arrived in the United States on Saturday, June 13, 2026, by the grace of God. As if this were not enough, the Lord also granted me a scholarship to pursue a Master’s Degree in Advanced Teaching, with a monthly stipend and full health insurance coverage. I will therefore be teaching and studying simultaneously at one of the most prestigious universities in the United States.
This can only be attributed to the mighty hand of God. I sincerely thank Brother Chris and the entire God’s Heart TV Team for their faithfulness, dedication, and commitment to saving souls and revealing God’s mercy to the nations. My encouragement to everyone is this: remain consistent, remain faithful, and continue to follow Jesus Christ even after He answers your prayers. He orchestrates miracles in our lives so that we may have every reason to submit to Him and walk closely with Him. The Lord is truly merciful, faithful, and wonderful. I am genuinely short of words. All glory and honour belong to God alone.”
