“I greet you in the name of our Lord and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. I am Samantha, a mother of three, residing in Windhoek, Namibia. I would like to thank God for setting me free from a ‘self-inflicted bondage’. I was part of the Interactive Prayer Service on April 6 after I had written a request for prayer because of continuous spotting (bleeding). This started after I had inserted an intrauterine device as a method of contraception. I had it inserted on January 22 and that was the day I ‘sold away’ my health. I had to go back and forth to the doctor after the insertion to make the device work – but to no avail. It caused mild pain on my abdomen and a severe acne outbreak in addition to the spotting. At one point, the doctor suggested we take it out and I plainly refused because I believed the benefits outweighed the problems.
“But during the Interactive Prayer, I was convicted by the Holy Spirit to have it removed. It was the words of Brother Chris where he said, ‘Every foreign object, be flushed out’, that struck a chord with my spirit. In that very moment, the Spirit of the Lord made me know that prayer point was directed to me. I had never viewed it or thought of it in that manner. But with those words came my liberation! It was not easy for me to accept because the insertion of the IUD had cost a lot of money and was very painful to have it put in. I was never going to take it out before its expiry date! I tried to negotiate with the voice of God for the first week after the prayer but that gave me no peace. My conscience clearly understood that the solution lay in removing the device. It was not meant for me. Finally, on April 16, ten days after the prayer, I went to the same doctor who had inserted it and had prescribed several other pills to have it removed. Ever since that day, I feel liberated! I am free in Jesus’ name. I am more energetic. I feel light. I have no more pain or fatigue, neither do I have irregular bleeding. Thank You, Jesus Christ! Thank you, Brother Chris. Thank you to all labourers in the Kingdom of God. May God bless you richly.”
