“My name is Joshua from Ghana and I give God all the glory for what He has done in my life through Brother Chris and the Interactive Prayer Service. I graduated with a first-class degree in 2018. I was so full of hope that I was finally going to be able to give back to my parents for all the sacrifices they made for me to put me through school. I committed myself to doing my national service where my supervisors and all around me praised me for my hard work, empathy and creativity. I was convinced that after service I would be offered a fulltime employment as a Research Assistant in the department where I served. However, that was not to be the case. After service, all efforts I put in to get a job or start a business failed. For six years, I was unemployed. I got depressed, constantly worried that I would never be able to support my family or even myself. Six years after school, my parents were still the ones supporting me. Sometimes I even thought that God had forsaken me or was punishing me for the mistakes I made in the past. Little did I know that His silence was not rejection. Little did I know that God was working out the answer for me!
“Earlier this year, I chanced upon Brother Chris and God’s Heart TV on Facebook and decided to follow the page. I went on YouTube to watch some of the sermons and my faith was really encouraged. I decided to submit my prayer request and glory be to God, I was invited to join the live Interactive Prayer Service via Zoom on 2nd March, 2024. Amongst the issues I brought to God was the issue of unemployment. As it would turn out, Brother Chris especially prayed for those that were looking for employment. Although I didn’t feel anything during the prayer, I believed that my joblessness was over!
“Not long after, I was invited again to join the Encouragement Service on 20th April 2024. Three days to the service, I received a call from a colleague asking me about my academic background and interests. I told him and he said he would get back to me. The next day he called me via WhatsApp and connected me to a friend who also asked me some questions about my background and interests in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Brethren, just like that I was employed. Just like that! Hallelujah!!! That evening, I was given an employment contract to serve as a Biomedical AI Engineer for an AI company based in the United States and operating a branch in Africa. This has been my dream job ever since I got interested in AI and machine Learning. Today, I’m proud that God has made it that I can support my family and myself. I give Him all the glory. Just as He has done it for me, He will do it for you too. Just keep believing and stay connected!”
