Matthew 25:40 – “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
The God’s Heart TV Team in Cali, Colombia, reached out to two non-profit football academies – Comuneros FC and Vallunos FC – who work with less-privileged children. The children, aged between ten and fifteen years old, live in neighbourhoods not only affected by extreme poverty but also violence and drug trafficking – and many see football as a lifeline.
God’s Heart TV donated football equipment to the coaches of both academies, consisting of balls, kit and training apparatus. To further support, the family of each child received a food package with essential food and hygiene items for the family – including rice, sugar, salt, oil, wheat flour, lentils, beans, pasta, tuna, sardines, eggs, coffee, chocolate, crackers, ketchup, mayonnaise, jam, seasoning, toothpaste, toothbrushes and soap.
The children immediately engaged in a practice session with their new kit and after training hard, they also received a snack courtesy of the God’s Heart TV Team. What a privilege it is to be in a position to give!
