RESPONSIBLE STEWARDSHIP OF BLESSING

Ephesians 1:3, ‘Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.’

It is common today for people to attend church services to ask God for material blessings. However, the truth is that the only thing that can secure that which you are seeking is spiritual. If the gift, rather than the Giver, dictates your direction, what you see as a blessing can become a burden. Material blessing can begin to use you instead of you using it. For example, many people think they are spending money whereas money is spending them – dictating where to live, how to dress, who to associate with, where to go, even if it does not honour God. Being guided by spiritual principles will help you to responsibly steward your material blessings.

Your time management is a good reflection of your life’s priorities. We create time for the matters that really matter to us. So pause and think about how much time you invest in building and in taking care of your spiritual life, your relationship with God. As Jesus instructs in Matthew 6:33, ‘Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.’

Jesus is calling you – let your days be Mine to order, where I lead obedient be. Let your own desire be nothing, only seek to follow Me.

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, I surrender and give up to Your Will. Tell me what You want me to do; give me Your orders. I promise to submit myself to all You desire of me. Let me only know Your will. In Jesus’ name, amen.
