During this Easter season, Brother Chris and Allison led the God’s Heart TV Team on a visit to San Mateo Elderly Home in Cali, Colombia. Many of the residents at this establishment, some of whom are over 80-years-old, have been abandoned by family members and are given a place of refuge in the last days of their life. Some also have mental or physical disabilities. After providing refreshments and joining the elderly in a time of praise and worship, Brother Chris shared a message, stressing the importance of care for the elderly. He said, “As Christians, we must see it as a sacred responsibility to show concern for the welfare of the elderly in our society. Many of us young people today are enjoying the fruit of the sacrifices made by the generations that have gone before us – which is something we must never take for granted.”
The God’s Heart TV Team spent time with the elderly, gave gifts of food, hygiene items and new pillows, as well as a freshly prepared meal. There is no better way to remember the ultimate gift of love God gave us through His Son Jesus Christ than to share His love with others!
