“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” – Proverbs 16:9
Do you know that you have been given the time and space to act in only as allotted to you by God? If you did, then you would see Him as the Owner of your time. You would understand that He is busy designing and arranging events that will continue to unfold until His purpose is revealed in your life. You would trust in His divine will and see that despite how difficult it seems at times, His timing is perfect; He is never late.
It was at the point of fire that God rescued Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego (Daniel 3).
It was at the point of total surrender that God provided Abraham with the lamb for slaughter (Genesis 22).
It was at the point of giving up that Jesus turned Peter’s wasted hours into success hours (Luke 5).
If you examine the journey of your life, you will recognise the truth that God is never late. Have you ever felt as if you were falling and just before hitting the ground, God caught you and lifted you up? You are not the only one! God wants us to exhaust all our worldly advantages, our human wisdom, our self-confidence and come to the end of ourselves so we would value Him and His purpose would be revealed in our lives for His glory.
What are you experiencing in your life right now? Are you tempted to feel impatient and anxious, worried or doubtful? Remember, you cannot separate God from His will, His promises and His time. Decide today to relax in the precious arms of the Holy Spirit and trust that as a true believer, your time belongs to God. Your duty is to obey God’s Word; His duty is to fulfil His promises in your life and truly, He is never, ever late.
PRAYER – Ask God to give you an obedient heart, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!
