Psalm 32:4-5, “When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night Your hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. Then I acknowledged my sin to You and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.’ And You forgave the guilt of my sin.”
Never fall into the trap of sympathising with or normalising sin, especially in the secret, private place! The greatest deception often springs from the simplest distortion of the truth. Keep the secret place a sacred place. Whatever you do in secret will eventually overflow in public. If you can’t control yourself in private, one day, you may lose control in public.
Guard your heart because it is the realm of all feelings and desires. Take care of your heart because what dominates your heart, determines what has dominion over you. Remember, repentance is your weapon because your seat is still there. But when we refuse to repent, wrong becomes sin.
Prayer: Let every silent deal with darkness, every hidden agreement with the devil – be cancelled in the Name of Jesus Christ! Help us, Lord, to see the world through Your eyes recognising evil as evil. Amen.
